The Friends of Music invites you to attend any of this season’s concerts! This year’s concerts feature returning and new ensembles, a variety of music, and all are guaranteed to be a joy to experience. All concerts are in-person. Véronique Gobet, piano

Following an enormously successful performance on the Bradley Hills Presents series in 2016, Swiss pianist, Véronique Gobet returns, performing works Chopin, including his preludes and Scherzi Op. 20 and 31. With an active recital repertoire also holds positions at the Conservatories of Neuchatel and Geneva.
Join us as we welcome back the virtuoso pianist, Véronique Gobet, to perform on Bradley Hills’ newly-rebuilt, historic 1904 Steinway B Grand Piano.
The American Spiritual Ensemble

“No words…can describe the impact [of] the Ensemble” (Minnesota Public Radio), which, since 1995, has thrilled audiences around the world with dynamic repertoire ranging from spirituals to classical, to jazz, and Broadway hits. With a mission to keep the American Negro spiritual alive, this concert is sure to be a tour-de-force performance from the American Spiritual Ensemble.
The Yale Whiffenpoofs

Bradley Hills Presents invites you to join us as we welcome back The Yale Whiffenpoofs, the world’s oldest and most renowned collegiate a cappella group. Following their sold-out performances in 2019 and 2023, Bradley Hills Presents is delighted to invite you to a night of jazz, oldies, classic rock, and everything in between.
Their characteristic white tie and tails, paired with their enthusiasm and humor, are icons all around the globe. Recent Whiffenpoof performance venues have included Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the White House, the Rose Bowl, and the Lincoln Center. The Whiffenpoofs have also reached a television audience of more than 175 million in appearances on NBC’s “The Sing Off,” “The West Wing,” “The Today Show,” “60 Minutes,” “The Gilmore Girls,” “Jeopardy!,” “Saturday Night Live,” and “Glee,” and have performed for multiple sitting presidents of the United States.
Filament

Philadelphia-based early music ensemble, Filament, performs music of the Baroque with “fervor and delight that make early music seem current and joyful” (Broad Street Review). In this new program, Filament explores the fantasies of the 17th century to Bach’s iconic Schübler Chorales. Filament recasts Bach’s original settings of these famous chorales, finding new colors and textures in the interplay of violin, viola da gamba, and historical keyboards—following in the footsteps of one of music’s most avid arrangers: Bach himself.

The concert series at Bradley Hills was first created under the tenure of Donald S. Sutherland, Director of Music from 1971 to 1999. From 1972 to 1991, “Bradley Hills Presents” offered world-class concerts, featuring many famous musicians: the American Boy Choir, Anonymous 4, Marie-Claire Alain, William Albright, Phyllis Bryn-Julson, David Craighead, Leon Fleisher, Brian Ganz, Denyce Graves, Judith & Gerre Hancock, Susan Landale, André Marchal, the National Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, Martin Neary, Louis Robilliard, Ned Rorem, Albert Russell, Larry Smith, Donald S. Sutherland, Vernon de Tar, the Theatre Chamber Players, and Dame Gillian Weir.
Bradley Hills Presents is an important means of connecting with the wider musical community, a source of mission and social outreach. The mission of Bradley Hills Presents: Concert Series is to provide world-class musical events in a wonderful acoustic setting, thereby sharing the joy of music with the public as a living ministry.
