Why BHPC

Bradley Hills is a special place filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit and the warmth of Christ’s love. This is a safe place to ask the deep questions of life, with pastors who get to know you and walk with you on your faith journey.

We are a caring community of friends who come from a variety of backgrounds to seek God in this place. We are united by our:

  • Faith in Christ
  • Care and nurture of children and families
  • Love of learning
  • Appreciation of music and worship
  • Passion for service
  • Desire to deepen our spiritual lives.

A Welcoming Community

Bradley Hills welcomes all to worship with us and share the life of Christ, together. We come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and from around the world.

We are all God’s children, united by God’s love. We strive to create a community that embraces each spiritual journey. We believe that diversity in our membership — different ages, genders, ethnicities, abilities, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, countries of origin, ideological and theological beliefs, and experiences — is an important strength.

LGBTQIA+ persons and their families are most welcome here. BHPC has long been part of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, working towards the full participation of LGBTQIA+ people in the life, ministry, and witness of the Presbyterian Church (USA) — and in society. We are both a welcoming and an affirming church.  (A gender–neutral restroom is located down the hall from the sanctuary near the childcare room.)

For ongoing activities and special events for children, youth, and adults, check out our announcements page or sign up for emails.

What to Expect

Worship Services Every Sunday

We have two services on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am & 10:30 am. In the summer, there is one service at 10:00 am. During holidays, we hold multiple services.

Childcare is available for infants and toddlers ages 3 and under in our nursery. Children are always welcome in worship and can grab an activity board and children’s bulletins or join in Church School at 10:45 am.

Each service has readings from the Bible, music, a message from our pastors or guest speaker, and our 10:30 service has a children’s message. Dress in what you feel is comfortable, as long as it is respectful.

At the end of each service, we greet each other and pass the Peace of Christ. Everyone is welcome to stay after the service for coffee and fellowship during coffee hour.

We have multiple programs for adults, youth, and children and many ways to get involved.

Membership

Many have found that becoming a member and putting down roots at Bradley Hills to be a very meaningful decision. We would enjoy walking alongside you in the journey of life and faith.

We have getting connected and new member classes multiple times during the year. Childcare and lunch are provided. If you have any questions or would like to get more connected at Bradley Hills, contact Pastor David Gray or call the Church Office.

I’m New Frequently Asked Questions

How many services do you have?

We have two services for most of the year: 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. During the summer, we hold one service at 10:00 a.m. During Easter and Christmas, we often have three services.

Does BHPC have online worship? Can I view past services?

What is unique about Presbyterians?

Presbyterians are distinguished by how we organize the leadership of the church and by our theology. Our church (or “polity”) is highly representative, with lay people and clergy having balanced and equal voices in the running of the church. Our theology honors each person’s faith journey. We celebrate that God has given each of us gifts to strengthen the church. Presbyterian pastors are dedicated to witness and support church members on their individual faith and life journeys.

Where do I park?

Bradley Hills has ample parking. There are a series of connected parking lots that arc around the church, which are accessible by both Bradley Blvd. and Green Tree Road. Handicap parking spaces are available in front of the main church entrance (the Narthax) and by the Church Office.

Are LGBTQIA+ persons welcome?

Yes! LGBTQIA+ persons and their families are most welcome here. We celebrate everyone, believing that diversity is a strength. BHPC has long been part of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, working towards the full participation of LGBTQIA+ people in the life, ministry, and witness of the Presbyterian Church (USA) – and in society. We are both a welcoming and an affirming church. For those seeking a gender–neutral restroom, there is one down the hall from the sanctuary near the childcare room.

What do I wear to church?

Wear what you are comfortable in as long as it is respectful. At our 10:30 service, there is a wide range of dress, from suits and ties to shirts and slacks to blue jeans. All are fine! Our 8:30 service, and our services over the summer months, tend to be more casual.
