Amit Peled, Cello & Stephan Petrov, Piano

March 10

Join us on Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 pm to hear Israeli cellist Amit Peled and Stephan Petrov. A musician of profound artistry and charismatic stage presence, Peled is acclaimed as one of the most exciting instrumentalists on the concert stage today. At 6’5” tall, Peled started life as a basketball player, and was called “larger than life” when he enveloped his cello, and “Jacqueline du Pre in a farmer’s body.” With past performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Wigmore Hall, and more, Peled’s “amiable and inviting personality” breaks down barriers between performers and the public, making classical music accessible to wider audiences. Joined by Bulgarian pianist and versatile collaborator Stefan Petrov, the concert will feature works from the height of the repertoire for cello, including composers such as Brahms, Schubert and Poper.

Tickets $25/20/10 general/students/children (15 and under) at the door, $20/15/5 in advance at
